Retake 750 Math II?

Should I retake a 750 Math II if I am aiming for top schools? I'm pretty sure I can get an 800, the May test was just more difficult than the practice tests I took.

if ur sure, then go for it

if not, then i wouldnt really worry about it. one grade wont make or break ur chances at any school

Only if you have nothing else to do. Maybe study for another new SAT II and take it as well.

The curve is so lenient on IIc (10% get 800, mean is 644) that a 750 might seem unimpressive to top schools, especially if you're thinking about science/engineering or whatever.

If you think you can do it, I say go for it.

I got 750 also I also thought the May test was just more difficult than the practice tests I took.
I'm going to retake also.

Spend that time doing something else that's important, I guarantee it won't make as big of a difference as you think it will.

Think of how to make your essays stand out instead ;)

I got a 700 on chem, a 740 on math IIC, and a 780 on U.S. history. Although I won't be able to retake these in time for EA (which I plan on doing), I tihnk I'm going to retake chem and math anyway (with perhaps Spanish), in time for reg. decisions.

Would a 780 look that different from an 800 to colleges? Should I retake? I wouldn't be able to until November...

ambryllien, I'm in the same boat!! haha

There is little difference between a 780 and 800; as for a 750 v. 800, you know your own situation better than I do (I hope), so if you truly feel the need to retake, sure. Personally I wouldn't retake, but I guess there's no harm in an 800.

OMG!! I also got 750 on the MathIIC May test. I really don't think I'll take it again because I need to retake the reasoning SAT... Our score is fantastic but if you are satisfied with all your other scores and you have time-go for it. Generally, it will barely make a difference in your chances.
