Should I retake SAT II French, even though I got 800 in both Math II and Physics?

Hey everyone,

Right, so in June I sat the Subject tests for French, Math II, and Physics. I'm really quite good at french, so I didn't look at a single practice test (probably not the best idea) and since some questions were unexpected I only got a 700.

I got an 800 though for both Math II and Physics.

I'm applying to MIT, so i was wondering, is it worth it to take the French again, since I can probably get 780+, to show that I'm well rounded? It just seems slightly pointless to show up for only one test anyways, maybe if i did Literature as well and got 780+ it would be justified.

I just wonder if they will they care about the French score and perhaps a Lit score, or if the Maths and Physics good enough?

Thanks everyone.

I believe a 700 would be fine.

You're probably fine. If it's really bothering you, though, definitely try some Lit practice tests if you decide to also take Lit; it can be a very tricky test.

thanks for the advice,

atm, i'm still not entirely sure, but i thnk that if i DO decide to retake it, i'll take the Lit as well.

But yeah, let's hope MIT cares more about science than French!

:-D

If you're absolutely positive, then go for it.
Every high score works in your favor.
