Should I retake SAT?

Well... see this is really complicated. So, I took the SAT, I got a 2220. I know that is a decent score. I got 790 Math, 720 Writing, 710 verbal. Its a decent score, average for CC.

I got a 79 on MC and 6 on the essay for writing. Yeah, for future reference, dont try CD CM CM format, it doesn't make any sense. I wish someone had told me, so I am putting it out there.

Anyhow, I know lots of colleges don't really look at the writing part, but others might. Do you think it would be worth my while to retake? Thanks.

retake it for the essay. colleges look at the essay 2 :)

You did fine/great. I dont think a few more points should make much of a difference. If the 6 on the essay bugs you then this is the only time I would ever say retake a 2200+.

Yea retake it for the essay. You can get better than 6.

I wouldn't retake it hoping that through luck/random variation that your score will improve. I would retake it only if a) you know what you're consistently doing wrong and b) know how to fix it and c) are willing to put in the effort to improve in the weeks before the next test. Otherwise, you're wasting your time; taking the SAT twice without preparing in between is pointless and doesn't reflect particularly well.
