Hi, I just graduated from high school in Australia, and I'm planning to take SAT test for the last time on Jan 24th.
I'm applying for fall semester in 2015, and some schools still accept the tests taken in January if I send them straight to the schools.
I can only take one test so I have to choose which one -- 1 or 2
I got 2070 for SAT1 and 620(chem) & 720 (math2) for SAT 2.

What colleges are you applying to? Can you improve any significantly? I’d tend to say SAT I. That is the major test, that is the test that colleges are ‘graded’ on from the major rating magazine.

NYU, BU, Smith, Johns Hopkins, University of Michigan, Smith College, Carnegie Mellon and Northwestern.
so 8 in total
I was wondering because I’ve heard that usually the scores above 650 are recommended for SAT2 (probably 620 for chem is too low right…?)
I have about a month to prepare for it, so I think I can improve around 200 points for both SAT1 and SAT2…

I would take SAT I if I were you if you are aiming for Johns Hopkins, U Mich, NYU, Carnegie Mellon and Northwestern.
Quite frankly, 2070 is not very strong to stay competitive.
I’m not sure about others.
Just remember most universities state that they review applications ‘hollistically’.

Thank you for great advices.
@blu5959 Taking SAT2 and SAT critical reasoning (do you mean SAT1 reading?) would be ideal, but i only have January as my last opportunity - or are you saying that I can choose to take both?

I mean take the SAT I test, but since you have only January as the last opportunity, you can only take one out of the two. Pick the one that is most likely going to be significantly improved . Good luck.
