Should I retake the ACT?

Here is my score breakdown:

Composite: 32
English: 34
Math: 35
Reading: 26
Science: 32
Essay:10 (5 from each grader)

I am applying to several UC's and two ivy league colleges. Should I retake the ACT and fix the reading score (I ran out of time on the reading section)?

You should probably retake it if you want to get into the ivy leagues.

i would take it again, because it wont hurt you in any way. If you dont end up getting a higher score at least you will have your 32 as backup. Try to focus on your reading skills by doing a lot of practice questions

i would say just focus on you college apps, essays, school work and clubs right now. You will need to put in time for ACT and you might as well be doing sth else especially that 32 is pretty good. I know people who got into IVY league with a 30 and 31 if they have good essays, good grades and alot of extra curriculars. Reading will need a lot of practice on a long time span and you don’t have that right now.
