I’ve taken the ACT four times and the last two times I’ve gotten a 29 (1st time - 34R/33E/23M/27S and 2nd time - 33R/35E/26M/23S). As you can see, my math and science scores really bring my composite down. I’m aiming for a 30, but how much of a difference does one point make? I’m applying to mostly more selective LACs where a 29 puts me in the bottom 25% of scores, so that makes me think I should try again.
I’ve already checked my state school and the merit scholarships are at 29/30 and 31+. I don’t see my score going up more than one point.
Is it worth it to take the test one more time? If so, does anyone know any good (free) resources for the science and math sections?
