So here’s the thing… I was enrolled in the IB MYP but moved schools in the last year (grade 10) and instead took the IGCSEs. I only had 2 months to study for the IGCSEs since the courses for MYP and IGCSE are really different. I took 5 subjects Math, English First Language, Physics, Chem, and Business. I got a B in Physics, Cs in Math and English, a D in Business and an F in Chem. After IGCSEs, in eleventh grade, I will be progressing to the IB Diploma in my new school. My school’s requirements to progress to the IB Diploma is to get any score above a G in my IGCSE subjects, so I qualify. And even though my IGCSE grades are bad, my high school grades in those subjects are As and Bs. Also, reminder, I only had 2 months to study for the external exams.
I am going to take Math, Phyics, and Chem HL and English, Bahasa Indonesia, and Economics SL. I plan on taking the SATs and SAT subject tests. I am also going to take the Indonesian National Curriculum while taking IB DP so I will be taking two curriculum at school. I want to major in mechanical engineering and my reach schools are Texas A&M and Purdue.
So my question is, should I retake the IGCSEs or should I just be focusing on IB, SATs and the Indonesian Curriculum?
