should I retake the SAT in college?

I will be attending the University of Maryland, College Park this fall and I want to transfer to one of these 6 schools after my freshmen year:

Stanford
UPenn
UCLA
UC Berkeley
Rice
Columbia

Highschool GPA
Junior Year: 3.28 s1, 3.57 s2
Senior Year: 3.85 s1, 4.0 s2

My SAT is a 2040 (CR:640, W:660, M: 740)
SAT II's: Lit: 640, Math II: 800

Also my Classes in High School were all IB diploma classes

Dont think college transfers require SAT’s, but look on their websites.

I don’t think it’s necessary. You should focus on building upon your college experiences.

Stanford, UPenn, and Columbia require SAT/ACT scores for transfers. I couldn’t find anything for the other schools on your list.

Your grades are going to be the biggest factor for your transfer prospects, but if you do well in your classes and want to up your chances then retake your tests. As long as you haven’t already taken them three times it should be fine.

Additionally, if you need merit aid as a transfer, you should definitely try to get the highest scores possible. It will pay off in aid most likely.
