Should I retake the SAT or take the SAT Math 2 and Physics Subject Tests?

I’m an international student, so the dates for test-taking are more limited than in the US. I currently have a superscored 1460 on the SAT, a 780 on the SAT Math 2 Subject Test, and a 690 on the SAT Bio E Subject Test. The only next date for test taking, before I have to send scores, is in October, and I’m wondering if I should retake the SAT (aiming for 1500+), or take the SAT Physics and Math 2 Subject test? I am planning to apply to some competitive schools, and I want to know what would make my application stronger. Thanks.

There is no reason to retake a 780.

What is the breakdown of the 1460?

Both November and December dates are available for international students, although perhaps not at every test center. But there are certainly more dates than just October for Regular Decision applications.

Thanks for the quick reply. Here’s the breakdown of my scores: Math 750, Reading/Writing 710

If the school requires Subject Tests, I would take physics in October and retake the SAT in November.

Do you have the knowledge, class work, and time to study to get a 760+ on Physics? A 750 is the same percentile as 690 on E-Bio for a similar population size, so pretty much a wash.

How many times have you taken the SAT? I’d saying improving to 1500+ would be better, but if you’ve already tested 3 times, the chances of that improvement are smaller. (“Superstore” tells me at least twice, no?).
