Should i retake the SAT Physics Subject Test?

Okay so i took 2 SAT Subject Tests and received the following:

Math 1- 780
Physics- 660

I am applying to MIT in the fall and i really want to go there but i dont want the physics score to hinder my application or have a great effect on me during the admissions process. I basically taught myself the entire subject of physics cuz my class at school was a joke, so thats probably why i did only decent when i strive to get an outstanding score in the range of 730-800. Do you think i should retake it if i am considering applying to MIT?

As long as you get anything around 700 is good. 660 is closer to 650 than to 700 so I would retake this exam to get at least 20 points higher (it sounds weird and counter logical but from what I understand it is very important that your scores will be in the range of 700)

If you can, retake it.
use sparknotes.com and ocw.mit.edu if you study on your own, I did that.

Should I retake a 760?

^ Nope. That is good enough.

I recommend barron’s sat physics, i studied magnetism, light, relativity, electric potential, capacitors, and more topics that i had not been taught at school, and it helped me get 800 C:

Since the Subject exams are only one hour long I suggest taking one every other day for two weeks and two days before the test, to take 6 exams one after another. You will surely get 800.
