Should I retake the SAT?

Hey guys, I just got my scores back from the Jan. 28th SAT, and I got a 2210 (750 CR, 740 M, 720 W). Should I retake? I averaged about a 2300 on blue book practice tests, but taking the SAT can be a pain, so I was wondering if it would really be worth it.

I am planning on applying to Dartmouth, Duke, Brown, Harvard, Yale, Stanford. That may make some difference in your response

Your scores are decent. I don’t think it’ll make much difference if you improved by 50-100.

@Baseball bro-any chance you’ll be a recruited athlete? If yes, you are well above the admissions line.

^ he’s right.
But also, if you’re applying to engineering/economics or something math related at the Ivy level, go again and get 800 in math!

Yes, I would, it seems like you did not reach your potential. I also like to add that if all 3 sections are above 750+ then I would think twice about it.

Thanks for the responses everyone, I had totally forgotten about this thread. As I’m sure you have all been waiting anxiously for an update (just kidding) I did end up retaking, and I ended up getting a 2400. So I’m pretty happy with my decision to retake.

Also, I’m not going to be a recruited athlete, unfortunately, so it’s going to be the strength of my application that gets me in (or keeps me out) of whatever schools I apply to.
