I am retaking the ACT this august (I got a 34 the first time I took it, but I know I can improve). However, I have a 1470 SAT (Took twice). I also have to take my SAT 2s, so that’s another test date I can’t take the SAT. I plan to only submit my ACT, but worry about some schools like Yale that require all test scores. I really do not want to take it again. Can anyone give me some advice? here are the schools I plan to apply to:
Your schools didn’t post, but WHY are you retaking with a 34 on the ACT? You absolutely run the risk of getting a worse score, as apparently 40% of high scorers do. You will have to send Yale ALL test scores, and your 34 is much better than SAT 1470. And you have taken it twice. So now you have three tests to send Yale, two of which are not as good as the one ACT. If I were adcoms at Yale, and saw three tests scores, one of which was already stellar, I would be underwhelmed and think you were obsessively striving for perfection. Yale doesn’t want perfection. Just stop.
P.S. There is no ACT this August.
And I saw your list of schools on your other post. You do realize that you are not going to get in by getting a 36? And you already have other threads asking this same question. We are all saying the same thing: you do not need to take more SAT/ACT tests, except subject tests. Why keep asking the same question if you are not going to listen to any advice?
