Should I retake the SAT?

Hey, so I'd like some feedback on whether I should retake the SAT I.

I took the SAT I in December and I got a 720 on CR and 790, 800 on math and writing, respectively. I'm really happy about the math and writing, but I'm wondering if I should retake the test to improve my critical reading score. Wow, I guess I sound really obnoxious right now, but I WOULD like some advice. Am I being too obsessive? I mean, I think there's some room for improvement, but it might be fine as is. I guess the stress of college is getting to me and may be clouding my judgment :) Because right now I'm not really sure.
If I did retake it, I might not maintain my math and writing scores (probably worse scale for math) and may not improve my CR, but if I did improve my CR, I could also do score choice.

Thanks for any comments or advice :)

I understand where you’re coming from, but I honestly believe a retake is not necessary. Even if you improve critical reading, I’m guessing it would raise your score only marginally. Be content with your SAT score and happy new year.

I understand your concern, but to be honest I really don’t think you should retake it UNLESS you know for a FACT that you will be able to retain that 800 in CR and get a 790+ on math and you also know for sure that you will be able to improve reading.

Think about it for a second: say you do retake it, and you score lower than before… colleges will think your first scores were a fluke. It’s really risky…

*EDIT: Vernacular, our beginning sentence is really similar haha… (understand, honest)
