Should I Retake the SATs?

I am a rising senior and I recently took the SATs, hopefully for the last time. However, I want to know if it is worth retaking it to get a better writing score (800 M, 800 CR, 650 W). I am planning on applying to several Ivies (Yale, Columbia, Brown), and I would like to know if my writing score will affect my chances.

A lot of colleges don’t even bother with the writing score so your CR + M is very impressive. You seem like a very bright student and writing is the easiest of the three to improve so if you want to put in that extra effort, I bet you could get your W up to at least a 700

Thanks for the input!

No you are fine. I would not even worry.

I would write it just one more time. Focus on the writing section and aim for 700+. Great job on Reading and Math!

If it were me then I would. You wouldn’t need to study very hard for the writing, all you need is a 700+ and you can feel more confident than ever!

You got a 2250. Stop worrying and focus on other parts of your application.

Guys I have taken the SAT twice. Highest Score was a 1930. I feel as though i can definitely get 2100 if i study the rest of the summer for it. But, I don’t know whether or not to study for the ACT this summer and try that. My friends said that i am more oriented for the ACT. To add to my question, I have a 4.41 Cumulative GPA and some of my other friends i don’t need to take any. I am really confused. Any Suggestions?

Thank you to everyone who has responded; all of your input has been very helpful!
