Sorry if you guys are annoyed at seeing these threads, but I really wanted to know if I should retake my Math 2C.
I took it in June and got a 770, which is alright, but I know I can get higher. Is 770 good anough for the elite schools and HYPS or should i consider retaking in oct/nov for the 800?

people say "it doesn't matter" but i personally like seeing that 800 on my score report no matter what anyone says. And if you're even thinking about retaking, i think you should retake... you won't really be happy until you do... But then again, its not entirely necessary, do it if you have time

I was just wondering though, does it really matter if i retake it, is there that big of a difference between a 770 and an 800. I guess I wanted to retake it as an initial response to a disappointing test day, but on second thought, how big of an impact will 30 points have?

I believe you shouldn't retake it. Colleges won't regard that score TOO much. Their decision will also be based on ur ECs and GPA A LOT, so this is not worth taking over again. They won't mind a 770.

Besides which, a 770 is pretty much equivalent to an 800, though maybe not to you psychologically. (agreeing with the above poster, just that it sounded a little pessimistic, 770 really is a great score)
