I took the SAT's in October of my Jr. year and got:
550 CR
640 M
650 W
When I took them again for June I went up legit 200 points
640 CR
720 M
710 W
to get a score of 2070..
Should I take them again? If so, what should I aim for? I'm looking at 2nd tier schools, not really Ivies.

There’s Ivies, first tier schools, and second tier schools.

I think you’re fine for second tier. After taking it twice, I’m pretty sure that you wouldn’t want to take it anymore anyway.

I think you should retake just for guarantee second tier almost 80-90%. If you want to go to first tier, definitely retake. Remember most colleges use score choice, so they won’t know how many times you have taken it.

okay - what are some good second tier schools in new england? what about first tier?
how are the following classified:

Boston College
Boston University
Colby
Amherst
NYU
Brandeis
College of the Holy Cross

Thank you for your time!!
