Should I retake?

I have taken the SAT twice and got all higher scores the second time. They were:
Reading - 670
Math - 600
Writing - 740 (Essay: 8)

I have also taken the ACT and got a cumulative 28, and am retaking it in October.

I am applying to: FSU, UF, UCF, USF, and Flagler College. FSU and UF are my top two. Should I retake the SAT or are my scores good enough/does my ACT make up for it?

Your SAT is fine. Maybe retake the ACT.

damn a 740 on writing and an 8 on your essay… how is that possible lol but very impressive scores you can get into those with that SAT score

I know ucirvine, I was so mad. I only got one question wrong, too! :(

For UF, your ACT score is right at the average, your SAT math is a tad low but still within middle 50% range and otherwise SAT is also fine. For all the other colleges you mention you are in the upper 50% of applicants or upper 25% with ACT score or SAT. In other words if those are your college choices, what you need now is good grades not more tests.

If all other areas of your application are strong, don’t worry about retaking- enjoy your final high school year(s)!
