I recently achieved a score on the ACT that I'm very happy with (34). I took the SAT my sophomore year and got a 2140 (1400 CR + M). In light of my ACT score, would it be of any benefit to retake the SAT, aiming for a higher score (obviously)? I plan on applying to a variety of schools: local, state, out - of - state public and private, and a couple top tiers. I know most people claim that the tests are equally respected by colleges, but I also know that this wasn't always the case. Is there still any lingering preference for the SAT among admissions officers today?

I'm a junior in the Midwest, btw. Thanks in advance.
