A retake could help, but I would retake only if I was sure I could improve around 30-40+ otherwise it would be pointless.

I agree. A 1490 is pretty good, so don't retake unless you know you'll get at least a 1540.

But should I retake writing or SAT I?

My writing score: 680, second try 660 (I was very sick this day)

Also keep in mind that I am an international.

bump...........

definitely retake writing over sat 1...1490 is a great score, and for most colleges, once you are in the mid-range, they never look at sat scores again (from what i heard), so take writing again..oh, and i have a 630 verbal now, any tips on how you improved to a 710...thanks

Memorize words, you don't need to memorize as many as you think. And make sure you get less than 5 wrong in CR, that's crucial.
