Should I retake?

<p>Hey everyone,</p>

<p>I was just wondering if I should retake the Math II Subject SAT, because I got a pretty terrible score the first time around (710) because I took it too early and wasn't ready for it. So, I wanted to retake it, but my friend told me that retaking the Math II is a bad idea, because colleges can see how many times you take the test and it reflects poorly on your ability. I want to apply to computer science/business colleges, such as UPenn, Carnegie Mellon, UVA, etc. </p>

<p>If you think you can do better, then yes you should retake.</p>

<p>If you can put in the time and the work, then retake it. If not, focus on other tests since colleges also want to see broad-based ability.</p>

<p>710 is a good score, but if you want to be competitive at a top-tier math program, you shold take it again. The schools will not care that you took it twice. Your friend gave you some bum scoop.</p>
