I was deferred from Virginia Tech ED. Judging by VT’s policy on recommendation letters, they’re not a big fan of letters overall. Should I bother sending a letter of interest? Of course it’d be sent over e-mail. Has anyone done this? What kind of results have you had?
I would not bother. You are right that they are not a big fan of general ‘mail’ from interested students. They know you are interested just by your ED application. A letter of continued interest will not help your stats in your application packet - your 1st semester grades will!!! Good luck in Regular Decision round
