I got 3.89 in the previous semester, but I only took three credits (My school recommends freshmen to take 3 credits (3 courses equivalent) in the first semester). Now I’m taking 5.5 credits, and I’m pretty sure I can pull most of them up to As. But for now I got A- (on the high end) for 2.5 credits, A-/A for 1 credit and A for 2 credits. So my gpa is somewhere around 3.8 right now. I’m from top 20 universities, but I’m applying for schools that are ridiculously competitive to get in, where many students have 3.9+. Would my mid-semester report work against me, or would it be better to submit one? My course load was weak last semester, so I feel compelled to submit but I’m hesitating. And of course, I’m talking about the schools that have mid-term report as optional. I’d love to hear your opinions.
