So my second time I took the act I got a 32 (35 M , 33 S , 29 R, 29 E). I took it one more time and ended up with a 31 but with (29 M, 31 S, 34 R, 30 E). I knew I messed up slightly on the science section, I used the wrong graph, but my math was a huge surprise. Maybe I forgot a lot of the material because I was in Ap Calc? Anyway, my question is do I send in both tests, or just the first? I want to show the new reading score, but I don't know if it's worth showing the lower math. Also, should I try retaking the test again for the fourth time in September or October? Any advice would be much appreciated!

bumppppp…

4 times is too many. 3 tops. Send both. Many schools are actually beginning to superscore the ACT so it is to your advantage to send both.

It depends where you are applying. Don’t take it again. If you know the schools that you are applying to superscore, send both. If they don’t, only send the first one.

One major difference between the SAT and ACT is that on the SAT the majority of schools care more about the individual subscores. On the ACT the composite matters more than the individual subscores. So a 32 is better than a 31, even if the reading is way lower on one, they won’t care.

thank you!!!
