Should I send my college transcript directly?

I'm going to apply as a freshman using the common app, and I took a course at a local university this summer. I listed the university under the Colleges & Universities section, but how/when should I send the official transcript to my schools? My counselor already sent the school report with my high school transcript, and I'm lost.

I sent my CC transcript before applying, but I imagine as long as you get it in before the deadline it won’t be a problem. Are you part of a dual enrollment program? If so, the classes should be on your HS transcript also.

No, it’s not a dual enrollment program, it was completely separate from my high school. So I should just send my transcripts directly to the addresses of the colleges I’m applying to?

That’s probably best. Typically admissions offices want to see official, sealed transcripts, which can only be sent directly from the college itself. You might be able to do that online, or you may have to call or visit the student services office at the school where you took the class.
