Sending community college transcripts

I'm a high school senior that took community college courses at two community colleges throughout high school. I went to the community colleges, filled out a transcript request form, and put down the address of the college I'm applying to so that the official transcripts could be mailed there; I repeated this process so that the official transcripts would be sent to each college I'm planning on applying to.

Is this how college transcripts are supposed to be sent? I was pretty uninformed with the process but I hope I did it correctly! I'm sure others on CC have had to send college transcripts before...

I thought you only had to send the official transcripts to the college you decide to enroll in??? (I hope so because this is what my GC told me!) Maybe I am wrong?

That could be the case; I have no idea. I assumed that, because your GC has to send in your high school transcript, any grades you received from a college/uni had to be sent as well. I do know that the UCs don’t require any transcripts–HS or college–to be sent until after they send their acceptance letters.

You should be fine either having the college send your transcripts directly or you picking them up and sending them.

If it’s a CA school, under Colleges & Universities:

I picked them up from my CC and sent them myself but it’s the same thing. All the universities I am applying to wanted the CC transcript along with the HS transcript.
