Should I send my SAT score to Wake Forest?

I know test is optional but I just scored a 1930 (CR+M 1270). Wake Forest only requires CR+M, so should I send this score in? I know it’s not amazing but I improved hugely from my last SAT.

@jimmylieu173 It depends on your GPA. If you have a high GPA, I wouldn’t submit them since it would just bring down your application. Their two part is a 1210-1420, so a 1270 is a little above their 25th percentile.

What would you consider a high GPA? My son has a 4.2 weighted and 3.8 unweighted, but only scored a 1990 (CR+M 1300) on his SAT. He is facing the same dilemma of whether or not to submit them - any suggestions?

@2016hsmom Ultimately, theres no defined line. I was told at the info session only submit scores if you are truly ecstatic with the results, but you also have to take into account something like 70% of their incoming class reports their scores. My personal advice would be to check out Naviance or whatever database his HS uses and see where he lands on the graph. The only way to truly get a bearing for a GPA to standardized test comparison is to compare yourself to students at the same high school as you.

I have like a 4.25 weighted and 4.0 unweighted. So I’m guessing I shouldn’t send my scores in :frowning:

Bump por favor mas answers???

I heard from a similarly-ranked test flexible school (test flexible for International Students) SAT scores of 700+ should be sent in but lower ones should not. That seems like a generally good rule of thumb for WF as well, right?

Ok thanks guys
