Should I submit scores to Wake Forest?

I received a 1910 on the SAT CR:620, MATH:630, WRITING:660.

WF SAT averages:
25th-75th percentile (enrolled students)
SAT Critical Reading 590 - 690
SAT Math 620 - 730
SAT Writing 610 - 710

So, I am higher than the 25th percentile…

UW GPA: 3.8
weighted: 4.23. Rank: 18/503.
Have taken 6 APs and 8 honors throughout my 4 years.

I also have great ECs and am EIC of newspaper and president of debate, have been playing varsity sport for 3 years, and have been playing piano for 11 years. I will also have an amazing letter of recommendation. My major is history and I received a 5 on my APUSH exam. I am afraid my SAT score will hurt me in the admissions process.

Should I submit my SAT to Wake Forest? I have asked before but no one really responded. Thanks!

Are you not required to submit your scores? I am assuming that you are a senior and in that case, send the scores if you are required to. A 1910 is decent and as long as you write good essays you should be good.

@bksoccer7 Wake Forest is test optional so applicants are not required to submit scores.

Well, your scores are average for Wake so I guess you could choose either way and it shouldn’t really be a factor.

Yeah, I’d say you should…

@cappex thanks. I’m just afraid my test scores may be the reason I don’t get in because they also see interviews as very important, but I was not able to schedule an interview. :frowning:

Can you still schedule an interview Wake Forest ?

@cappex no, I emailed them and they don’t have any more available interviews. :frowning: sad

You shouldn’t send scores below median to test optional schools.

@goldenbear2020 and I am below the median right? haha thanks!

No, I don’t think you should. Your ranking is high…within top 5%, and that will be more impressive.

Yea, definitely dont send scores. Your scores are below the median for ENROLLED students. The 25th-75th would be much higher if it were for accepted students, because that would include students who passed up on Wake Forest for more selective universities. However, your other stuff is fine, and you’re very competitive even without test scores

@mom2collegekids @giraffeinatree thank you!
