Should I send my SAT scores to Stanford right now?

Hey guys:

I have a quick question. I just took the SAT several days ago, I think I was doing ok, but I am retaking it in dec anyways. Since I have heard that Stanford only looks at the combination of your best scores form each section, so if I think I did well on writing and math, but not really stellar on CR, should I send my scores to Stanford??

thanks for your input... :)

anyone? plz? :)

if you are retaking it in december, it doesn't matter then. i believe you should probably send the reports to other colleges you are applying to (if you meet their standards). that way, you don't have to give more money to collegeboard. but if you are not applying to anymore, you could send it to stanford; it doesn't matter since it will come down to your highest scores.

thanks Choboking,

so you mean I can send my scores in dec as well, but what if I don't do as well as this time...on say writing, then i can still send both of the tests , and pick up the best, right?

yeah, on the Stanford APP, they allow you to pick your best scores, or you could let them do it. note: you do know that ALL your SAT scores will be sent right? its not just one like the ACTs.

yes, I assume you mean math, writing, and CR?

thanks so much, choboking

:) :)

NP! When I mean all SAT scores, I mean scores from every seating, even the October sitting will be included into your December score report.

oh, so confusing.....

so you mean, if I send the oct SAT to Stanford, it will only receive my oct scores

if I choose to send my SAT II( taking in nov) to Stanford, the CB will automatically sned both my oct and nov socres, even though I don't ask CB to do so?

And if i send my scores in Dec, it will send 3 of my tests at the same time? I can't choose which one I want them to send?

hopefully, im right this time....

thanks so much Choboking for answering my dumb questions :(

:) :)

Yes you are correct =)
