IDK how I did on the ACT's..I couldn't finish math and the science was a blur. Should I see my score and then send it?

I'm in the same position. I'm just going to wait it out then send it.

Wait for your scores.. it's definitely worth it. You send your ACT scores by test date so colleges will never see all of your scores unless you send your scores to them.

Here's what I did. My first time I took the ACT knowing little about the test. I scored a 26; however, I didn't send my score to any colleges even if it was free. I even had the score taken off of my transcript because my SAT score was much better. I took the ACT for a second time and scored a 33, after some preparation. Again, I waited for my score to send it. I ended up sending my score to all the schools I'm applying to and now they'll only see my 33 not my 26!

Yes, wait to see your score. ACT sends only the score you choose, not scores from all ACT test dates (like SAT currently does), so it gives you the opportunity to re-take and send a better score or (God forbid) send an old, better score.

I took the test yesterday for the first time and think I did pretty well (I finished all the sections with a little time to spare and was pretty confident with all of my answers). In the case that I am overestimating my score, would you recommend that I not send the scores to my school so that it won't be on my transcript or can I ask my school to take it off of my transcript after I see my score?

What about for the December test? Should I just send it directly to the colleges I'm applying to?

Heretosucceed92: I was able to take my score off my transcript, but this option may from school to school. If you're going to take the ACT again then I would wait for your score, but if this is your last time, then I would just send it to your schools now.

Hamburgler2: If you feel confident after the test I would send them.

Thanks AKittka!

Hmm... is there a deadline for choosing recipients to send your ACT scores? Or can you send them, for free, anytime after taking the test?
