Should I send the AP scores for all the schools to enhance my chances?

I have taken 8 AP exams (Chem, Bio, Calc AB/BC, Physics B, World Hist, Env.Sc, English Lan). I have scored mostly 5's except for some. I am applying for 7 or 8 colleges. Can anyone tell me by sending AP scores, would it help my chances of getting any merit aid etc. Thanks

That would be pretty pricey, and it’s not expected. I don’t even know if they would look at the score reports. BUT, on applications, there is often a place to list your AP Scores (there is on the commonapp). THIS will definitely be looked at and won’t cost you a cent.

Though of course, in the long run, AP Scores count less than SAT / Subject Tests.

Nope, please refrain from doing that (unless it’s recommended by the college or something of course). My impression is that when collgeboard forwards your score report to a college, the score report goes to some department that deals specifically with admitted/enrolled students to be used for advising/course credit record, not to the admissions office. In other words, AP score reports may not even reach the person in charge of reading your application.

Great tips and suggestions folks. I will not send it then.
