Should I stay another year at CC or go to University?

My major is Electrical Engineering. I currently have two years going to community college. I got into CSULB and CSUF, I am considering CSULB for fall 2020.

I am also considering staying another year in CC to finish some lower division courses about 21 semester units(which is a little bit of units for one year) . I want to stay to work and earn some money to afford rent when I move out (not that I really need to, I am on financial aid and I have a decent amount earned up). I also want to do this to apply to UC’s but don’t know if I really want to go to a UC(not really into theoretical learning).

If I transfer out to long beach I will have 77 units (9 of which are useless for my degree) and I think I could graduate in about 2 years, but if I wait another year the Universities (UC’s and CPP) will only give me 70 units out of 98 units.

I heard CPP is really difficult to get classes and I will need to take 55 units at CPP to graduate. The degree at UC’s will take 3 more years (also difficult to get classes). I risk taking longer to graduate if I stay another year. I’m afraid of losing financial aid (I think they only help with 6 years).

I want to go to CPP because of there hands on approach and they have a highly ranked EE program, but I also don’t want to fall behind.

Idk if I can go to CSULB and transfer to CPP, this by itself could also delay my graduation, but I will have potential to earn more units instead of only 21.

I’m assuming because I got into CSULB I could get into CPP.
