Should I submit a 720 sat physics score

Hello, I am wondering if I should submit my 720 SAT physics score.

I have a 4.0 Unweighted GPA, 4.32 Weighted GPA, 1530 SAT (Superscored: 740 English, 790 math), 790 SAT math level 2, 800 SAT chemistry.

I am considering submitting it as I have never taken a physics class yet (currently taking AP Physics 1 but this test was in the summer before) and want to show my passion for physics.

I plan to apply to colleges such as Harvard, Stanford, and UW. Many of them recommend 2 subject test which is why I am unsure whether I should send it or not. Also, the 720 is considerably lower than the other 2 subject test scores (But I had taken AP calculus and AP chemistry already when I did those).

I plan to study Astronomy in college.

If you submit it, it will be ignored. But feel free to send it if you want.

Hopefully you have ECs that “show my passion for physics.”, because taking a test doesn’t.

No one can say it will be ignored. Not for H and S (or any tippy top,) where each detail adds to the picture and the competition is nutso.

The 740 CR is a tad low. Make sure you understand as much of what H and S look for, besides stats.

No idea why you took this test before taking the course. Sorry, but it suggests you may have had the idea just taking the tests is it, not the collective learning obtained from actually being in the class.

What chances do you have to retake or take another Sat2?

I wouldn’t… 720 is a 58th percentile score

Keep in mind…who takes Physics SAT 2 tests? people good in physics. So with that score, you are saying "of people good in physics, I am average.’ That is not what top schools are looking for.

Now I am not denying that that is good score for someone who hasn’t taken physics but that is not what they are looking for.
