Should I submit my UCSD transcript if I am trying to transfer UC Berkeley from a community college?

Hi,

I am a student who is currently enrolling community college classes to transfer to UC Berkeley.

After I spent a quarter as a freshman at UCSD, I decided to attend a community college to transfer to UC Berkeley.

But I did a poor job at UCSD and I do not want to add my poor transcript to my transfer application. I got 2 Fs and 1 D because I had to come back to Korea without taking the final exam due to my personal issues.

However, things are settled now and I am doing great in current college. Currently taking online CC classes while I am handling my personal problems.

So my question is: Should I submit my UCSD transcript if I am trying to transfer to UC Berkeley from a community college when I apply? And if so, how can I make up my messed up classes from UCSD?

Thank you in advance

There is a College Clearinghouse that has a record of all colleges attended so you have to submit your UCSD transcripts. If you had to return to Korea due to some issues, you should have withdrawn from the classes properly and maybe you would not have the subpar grades on your transcript. Do not omit the UCSD transcript when you apply for transfer since this will come back to haunt you later. If you do well at your CC and explain the situation, then it may not have as a great of an impact when you transfer. Have you contacted UCSD to do a retroactive withdrawal perhaps? .

First off, as Gumby says, you need to submit all transcripts, but it also sounds like you are not in good academic standing at UCSD. You need to fix that first, which means taking some UC courses to correct it (this can include transferable extension courses). You need to contact UCSD and figure out a plan.
