Should I submit SAT, ACT, or both?

Hi,

I am trying to decide which test scores to send to colleges. Basically, I have taken both the SATs and the ACT and my scores are:
SATs:
1st try: CR670+Math800+Writing730
2nd try: CR630+Math780+Writing780
3rd try: CR730+Math770+Writing690
Superscore: CR730+Math800+Writing780=2310
SAT II Math Level II: 800
ACT: English35+Math36+Reading33+Science33=34(.25)
However, I took the ACT this September so I suffered from the new scale of the essay and unfortunately got only 24 on the essay.

I compared the two scores, and I think performed better on the SAT (superscored) than on ACT.
My dilemma is that if I submit SAT scores, colleges might look at lower scores (especially Version-1 schools). If I submit my ACT scores, colleges might dislike my low writing score. Is there any justification to just submit both?
Also, should I take the SATs again and aim for a higher CR score? I know my total scores are fairly decent but a CR of 730 might place me only in the 25%-50% range for some colleges (e.g. Vanderbilt).

I appreciate your input. Thank you.

P.s. Econ or Finance major

I’d just send both as both of them seem fine.
I would not recommend taking the SAT a 4th time.

Your scores are so good that it doesn’t matter. It depends whether you want to spend an extra $12 for each application. It seems to me that you are better off sending all to the schools that require it, the SAT (all) for superscore schools, and the ACT for schools that don’t superscore.

@rdeng2614 Thanks for the advice!

@TooOld4School Thanks for the advice! Literally all of my schools superscore, but some are version 1 schools - meaning that they look at lower scores as well. As far as the fee goes, I am fine with an additional twelve bucks for each application (considering the application fee is much more expensive). I guess I will just send in both.

I don’t see any reason to hide your ACT while not all school superscore SAT. If money is not an issue, I will definitely send both.

@billcsho Thanks for the advice.

P.s. I still appreciate any additional input.
