On the Vanderbilt website, it says that subject tests are not required, but will be considered. However, it also says that applicants to the engineering program are recommended to send in math subject tests. I got a 700 on math 2 and a 710 in physics. Should i send in these scores or are they not good enough to send?

I think you should send them in because a lot of applicants will send them in. Your scores are not bad, but a lot of people have higher scores. But remember its not only scores…

“Applicants to the School of Engineering who choose to take Subject Tests should strongly consider taking either of the two mathematics exams (Level 1 or Level 2).”

At least the math test, send. I think it would work more to your disadvantage not to send the score, given ^that directive.

Send them in. I asked admissions when I was applying, and they will tell you that they’re mostly for placement purposes, but I sent mine in anyway and I think they added to my application. I got a 720 on Math II, 690 on Chem, and a 780 on US History.

Alright thanks for the advice everyone. I’ll guess I’ll send them in and hope for the best
