Hi, as the title of the thread suggests, I need some clarification as to whether or not I should superscore my SAT scores. On my first attempt (10th grade) I got a 2070 (730 CR, 710 M, 630 W/8 essay), but on my second attempt (11th grade) I got a 2310 (790 CR, 770 M, 750 W/10 essay). So, I'm interested in applying early to Duke, a school that allows superscoring, next year and am interested in knowing whether I should submit all scores or just those from the second attempt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Submit both your scores, shows improvement and they’ll superscore :)

Thank you

You don’t need to superscore. All of your scores from the later test are higher than from the earlier.

Superscoring only applies if you have a higher score in one section on a later test.

Superscoring means taking the best score from all of your tests. Your second test scores were all better than your first test, so there will be no superscoring (unless you retake the test and score higher on one or more sections). Nevertheless, the schools do the superscoring, not the applicant (as you can’t send parts of test results anyway :-)).
