I'm currently a sophomore at a prestigious all girls school and am enrolled in AP and honors classes. The past two years have been a real struggle for me and I find that I cannot relate to many of the girls in my classes. My school is fairly small so I always have the same people in my classes and if I continue on the AP and honors track that will not change. All of my best friends go to a school that is not as academically rigorous as mine but a good school none the less. It seems petty to change schools because of friends but I feel stuck. I feel like my current school is my own personal hell and that I'm counting down the hours until graduation. I still have two more years left and I dont know how i'm going to make it when all I think about is leaving. Just asking for opinions and suggestions... :)

If the school you want to attend will keep you on track with the same courses and transfer all of your credits, I don’t see why not. I know what it’s like to hate school- all because of the people you go to school with. I think you should switch schools if you are really that unhappy. High school is about grades, but it’s also about having fun and having a good experience with dances, friends, clubs, etc. A change of scenery might be good for you.
