Should I take 4 years of language(Spanish 4) if I'm already fluent in another language?

Colleges recommend students to take 4 years of language. I’ve taken Spanish for 3 years and I’m fluent in Chinese.
For senior year I’m taking 4 aps(ap stat, ap calc, ap es,ap lit ) and I would like to switch Spanish 4 for robotics and animations. If im thinking of applying to top tier schools should I drop Spanish 4 to focus on something that I actually enjoy? (Want to major in IT or business)
Took application Chinese (5) and sat Chinese(750)
I’m Chinese.
Thanks everyone!

Don’t you hate auto-correct? Application Chinese. LOL. Personally, I think you’re fine, but others will have different opinions. Good luck.

Depends on the college. Some colleges only care about proficiency level in a non-English language, so high enough AP and SAT subject test scores would suffice. But a few of the more selective schools may prefer that heritage speakers learn at least one foreign language “the hard way” (i.e. in school, as opposed to at home from childhood). This may be English for a recent immigrant who had not used English before immigrating, but they may prefer someone who grew up in a bilingual (English plus another language) home in the US to learn a third language in school.

For schools that ask for SAT subject tests, it is best if a test in your heritage language learned at home is an additional test beyond those recommended or required.
