Should I take 5 AP Classes my senior year?

As I stated in my question, I will be a senior this upcoming year - I couldn't be more nervous.

At the moment I'm signed up for:

AP Calculus BC
AP Statistics
AP Literature
AP Government
AP Biology

When I made the schedule my counselor didn't seem very concerned about it which gave me some hope, but now that it's getting closer to the school year I'm having doubts. All my friends think that I should drop one of the AP math classes I'm taking (they suggested dropping Calculus BC). I don't want to drop it though because I'm leaning towards medicine in college, so I probably will need to take it. I've had A's in all my other math classes, and my GPA is over a 4.0. I'm definitely taking the other 3 AP Classes, but I'm a little worried that Stats and Calc will ultimately just bring my GPA down.

To try and lighten the load I was thinking of switching to Calculus AB, but I heard the teacher isn't quite as good.

I was wondering if anyone has personally done this and could give me any advice/suggestions..?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

It is hard to judge. What extracurriculars do you have? How many colleges (#) are you planning on applying to? How big of a problem is procrastination for you? Have you started any essays?

Do it and dedicate your life to your classes this year.

Don’t switch to AB. You get more credit for/place into higher classes (Calc 1 AND Calc 2 credit) for BC than AB. Pre-meds also usually take some sort of statistics class. Your course load doesn’t sound too bad. You only have one lab science - those usually take more time.
