I can only TAG to UCSC or UCD because I wont have my math completed until spring. I want to TAG but UCD wants me to take a certain class that I dont have to take for any of the other colleges. I am registered for this class, but the time really messes up my schedule and its a night. I would be out at 10pm, and ccc isnt exactly the best, theft has occurred and usually at night.

the major factor is both of these schools are not exactly my first choice i rather stay closer to home. should i just get over it and take it to TAg with UCD or just tag with UCSC?

I have a 3.84 GPA, history major, and I am taking math in spring.

Well, can you see yourself going to UCD if it came to it? I had a similar dilemma when I was applying to UCs. I could only TAG to UCD and UCSC because of the math requirement so I decided to tag UCSC because I knew I could see myself going there if I didn’t get accepted to my first choice. If you can, then I would take the class. If not, tag UCSC.

Why not just fulfill the math requirement in the Fall and save yourself the drama and give yourself more choices?

@mermaker Im thinking of UCSC only because I meet all pre reqs while w/ UCD I need 1 extra class and my school only offers 3 of 5 pre reqs needed

@Matt4200 I really wish i could but I need to take a non credit math class this fall. So the only thing I could do is take math req winter but even then its too late any way

mermaker is right. When deciding what UC to TAG to, think of the school you can picture yourself at if it’s not your first choice.

For example, UCSD is not my first choice but I’ll be using the TAG when I apply. I can picture myself there - though I’ll be happier at my first choice. Haha.

Btw, your GPA is really good. You should probably get in at Davis and Santa Cruz without TAG.
