Hi,
I have already taken the SAT I and two Subject Tests, Chemistry and Math II, and just wondering if I should take a third, Physics, or if there is no point given my circumstances. I scored a 2250 on my SAT I with a 730 CR, 790 M, and 730 W. I scored 800 on Chemistry and also 800 on Math II. Is there a point in risking my perfect subject test record by taking physics too? I could most certainly score a 750 or higher but not sure that I could score an 800. I will be applying to do Chemical Engineering in the Fall to the following schools:
Columbia
Stanford
Harvard
Northwestern
Johns Hopkins- This is the only school that recommends 3, although 2 is sufficient.
Princeton
U Mich
U Penn
UC Berkeley
UC San Diego
Cornell
Tulane
Thank you for your time, I really appreciate it.

I would say take no more except for your choice of Hopkins. Since it recommends three, you will be better off with three. With the others having a third when you already have two 800s would mean very little in the decision to admit

You can take the Subject Test and view your score before sending it out to any college. You have the option of automatically sending the score out, but you can wait until the results have arrived.

If you love Johns Hopkins enough to pay $33, then go ahead. If not, don’t. You already have a pretty hefty list, and depending on your preferences, you could cross off Johns Hopkins without much consequence (or apply there with just two subject tests).

Ok. Thanks for the help. Some schools ask to see all scores though don’t they?

Yes, some schools don’t want you to use score choice. College Board has a huge bureaucratic list of everyone’s policies here.

thanks for the link…
