My math is at the lowest track, I just finished geometry at 10th grade. Should I take Algebra 2 over summer, then pre-cal at 11th, cal at 12th to move up my math level?
I heard it’s a hard course, but wanted to give it a try. I realized my low math level might impact my application to college.
I’m more interested in biology and some STEM fields.
Does your summer school allow acceleration. Many summer schools will be remote any will only allow students to take courses where they may need to complete some work.
How did your spring on distance ed go for you? Were you able to not just keep up, but also to excel in online math classes? If not, you might be better off working on concepts that need some clarification with KhanAcademy.org or PatrickJMT.com this summer so that you are really ready for your scheduled class in the fall.
There are plenty of places that will admit you as a science major without calculus in high school, and even if you would get through it in high school, chances are that you would need to repeat it once you get to college.
