This summer I am taking a 5 hour chemistry credit that is supposed to be equivalent to first year college Chem.
I was planning on taking AP Chem next year, but that is also equivalent to first year college Chem. Would I essentially be taking the class twice.
Would colleges not look favorably upon that, or would it still look good to take AP Chem?
There is no need to take AP Chem if you’ve already taken a first-year college Chemistry course. Use the time to take something new instead.
Should I still take the AP Exam if I take a college class, just to have a standardized score to send to colleges
It’s not necessary if you did well in the class, and most people don’t bother, though it won’t hurt you to take the AP exam, if you have the seventy dollars and time to prep.
Don’t take AP Chem, perhaps you can take the he second year chem course.
