should I take AP tests?

I was accepted to another school which does not accept AP credit, in addition to UM. I will most likely be going to the other school, but I'd like to keep my options open in case financial aid doesn't work out. I'm inclined to not take the AP tests, but if I do go to UM next year, I was wondering if UM offers placement tests in the fall/summer that allow one to get credit?

If not, I'll probably take the AP tests, just in case, but does anyone out there have more information?

UM’s placement tests do not offer credit, just placement.

You need to take AP tests for credit.

I would recommend coming into Michigan with a couple AP credits especially if you’re going into sciences or engineering. It helps.

YES. Take those AP tests AND study for them good and hard. I have a bunch of friends who came in with AP credit and they all say that it’s so nice to come in with those credits. Not only that, but the extra credits allow you to register for classes before other students… which is a big help, trust me. I totally regret not taking my AP tests my senior year of high school.

AP credits also push you into upper division tuition rates during second semester sophomore year

^AP credits allow you to finish undergrad in 7 semesters.

or 6…
