Should I take Biology?

I am a second-year chemical engineering major at a school that is ABET-accredited in the major. However, I understand that to be ABET-accredited, a school has to emphasize either physics or biology and my school has chosen to require four quarters of physics classes in the curriculum. They do not require any biology though. I'm still very open in what I want to go into after graduating.

Do many chemical engineers in this age use biology and should I take some introductory classes for it? I live in California by the way. I know that other schools require biology and some require both.

It wouldn’t hurt to take it.

I’m taking mainly because my school has many biomedical classes which interest me.

Yes. It may or may not come in handy, but you won’t regret having that option.

I just realized that all the intro. biology courses at my school are at 8 in the morning five days a week… Maybe I shouldn’t take it haha.

Better than Calc 1 sighs
