ok since i plan to major in a science or an engineering major, the answer is that i should take ap chem esp. considering that i haven't any sort of chemistry yet

however i have some screwy schedule issues next year, so it's gonna be hard to fit the class in, since it's only offered one or two periods; basically, i have to take four one semester classes...one is going to be offered one period only

with one exception, i have to take those classes next year

so my question is: will it be particularly bad to not take a chemistry course if im applying to an engineering college? i will be a senior this coming fall

You probably should. Chem is like a course that’s taken by almost every high schoolers. It’s like one of those general classes you take in HS like health. And also, you said you might major in science. Most science majors require chem.

A lot of people from my school go to college without Physics (given, they’re definitely NOT going into Engineering or Sciences). They would take something like Bio - Physical Science (sort of a general Science) - Chem/AP Chem - AP Bio.

Oh, and yes, AP Chem without general Chem is fine. I did that, and so did everyone who took AP chem at my school.
