I am signing up for my classes for junior year and was wondering if I should take my schools dual enrollment college algrabra class. Math is not my strongest subject by far, but I try hard and I am definately going to take dual pre-cal and take calc my senior year. I really want to go to UT Austin for computer engineering and was just wondering if it would be a good choice to double up take the pre-cal and college algebra. Thank You!

I think you might want to double check the Algebra… Most colleges offer linear algebra which is considered more difficult than calculus. I don’t think you should take pre-calc and calculus simultaneously especially if it’s not your strong point. If you had to dual, geometry and algebra is a better deal because they don’t build off of each other as much. Pre-calculus provides a necessary foundation for calculus. Also, I just figured out how to use italics so I’m pretty happy.

Congrats on learning how to italicize PxAlaska!! I’m still trying to figure out how to italicize, quote, etc…

both of my kids are extremely advanced in math (both took multivariable calc in sophomore and freshman year, respectively ), both told me that precalc is very important. based on their experience, i don’t think accelerate precalc is a good idea
