Should I take Dual Credit US History?

I’m a sophomore in high school and I currently take World History AP, (which I absolutely dread). WHAP was my first ever college level class and it was very stressful. Although I managed to get an A- the first semester and maintain an A- this semester, I don’t know if I can go through another year of a college level history class.

I really like Biology though, so I’m up for AP bio, and I have a tiny interest in US history, however WHAP has given me gray hairs. LITERAL GRAY HAIRS. I’m only 16!

I heard DC only counts if you go to college instate, (I live in Houston, Texas.) and I plan on going to college out of state anyway. However, I might apply to University of Texas at Austin so that might be in handy, but thats the ONLY Texas school I’m considering.

I know colleges want you to take the most rigorous courses that your high school offers, but would DC US history even look good on my college app? My private school only offers DC US history or regulars. There’s no AP.

I liked US history in middle school, but I heard DC/AP US History is absolute hell from some people. They said the same thing w/ WHAP and I thought they were exaggerating… They weren’t.

But hey, life is full of challenges, and if you suggest I take DC US History, then I will take your advice into consideration.

Advice and Opinions are well-appreciated.
