Should i take Econ 101/102 junior year (highschool) or comp sci 227?

I will be a junior in highschool next year and am just looking for some input/feedback on botw classses listed above. Am wondering which is easier, more interesting, useful (in your view), and looks the best for college admissions. Thank You

Really depends on your intended major, and how the courses relate to your future college goals. Personally, I’ve always heard the Econ. is a useful course no matter what you plan on doing, and I’ll be taking AP Micro/Macro next year. As far as interesting goes, Comp Sci can be a bore if you’re not familiar with writing code, or if you aren’t really too big on HTML functions, Java, and whatnot.
As for difficulty, really depends on the teacher, and your previous knowledge of the subject. I would recommend asking people who are currently taking or have taken those courses to shed some light on their difficulty level or the professors who teach them.

A parent here…son did AP Comp Sc in 10th grade and AP Econ Micro and Macro in 11th. The Econ teacher was really tough and hated to see 11th graders in his class (he wanted kids to take a semester long Econ course before taking AP’s)

Son managed, but I thought it was a fast course.
APCS is fine to do in 11th if you like coding etc. Do AP Econ in 12th??

I wish son had not done the AP Econs as his GPA really suffered. He went into Comp Engnr.

Hey thanks for the quick replies everyone!!!
I intend to major in economics so i feel like Ill check the course load and whatnot, and then probably end up doing econ 101/102 tthanks aggain!
