Should I take Latin III?

I’m good at Latin. But I’m bony very interested in it. I’m planning to be a math or psychology major (I may change my mind though).

Typically, schools look for three years of a foreign language, so I’d continue to take it for at least one more year.

Do you have 3-4 years of another foreign language? If you do, then Latin is optional and you should weigh it against other classes you could take. If you don’t have another foreign language, then I’d continue with Latin.

Where are you likely to apply to college? If none of the places on your list formally state that they require three years of foreign language, you don’t need Latin III.

What are the graduation requirements for your high school? If you don’t need more foreign language for that, you don’t need Latin III.

What other classes will you be taking, and would any of those have schedule conflicts with Latin III? Maybe it can’t even fit into your schedule.

Will the college/university that you are likely to attend require that you take a foreign language? If so, will Latin III mean you have fulfilled that requirement or at least part of it? In that case, it may make sense to take more Latin now.

Also, additional years of Foreign Language is often evaluated like extra years of math or all three sciences (bio, chem, physics) by selective colleges - it’s an academic rigor differentiator.
As happy1 said, if you already have 3-4 years of a foreign language, then 2 years of latin on top of it is okay.
If you’re aiming for selective colleges (Top 100 privateuniversities + LACs), public flagships) you’ll need 3-4 years in one language of your choice.
